I've been one lucky potato to have known Don Rood for some balance of his 50 years and call him friend. We once sat in the car at a gas station eating crumbly ice cream and chatting for hours. You don't often take the time to connect that way nowadays. Truly one of the most remarkable folks treading this planet, and has made an indelible impression on me.
